Context Help on Touch Devices

Context help is the most effective help you can get if you use an app.

The most intuitive way to deliver this help is to show a tooltip on mouse hover.

However, more and more devices don't have a mouse anymore, offering a touch interface instead.

One option is to make the user interface independent of context help. However, editing tools would be bloated.

1der1 offers information buttons, which show help on touch.

Have a look at a 1der1 HTML editor, which shows tooltips for the buttons, and displays information buttons on touch devices.

The video

  • Have a look at HTML editor buttons.
  • Watch the tooltips when you hover the mouse.
  • See the same HTML editor on a touch device.
  • There are now information buttons.
  • On touch, you can see the buttons and their meaning.

1der1 - and the web world is yours.
